One day I'll get all my different editions of his novels and collections captured in a similar database... but for this holiday weekend, I decided to photograph and enter all of my copies of I Am Legend into an archive database. At 150+ editions and counting, I've found that it's gotten too easy to re-purchase versions I already have. Hopefully having everything recorded will reduce the risk of that. :)John Scolerihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15830334036783163702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6672923492889685727.post-29395230991119672052015-02-15T12:44:23.230-08:002015-02-15T12:44:23.230-08:00Ooh, I had forgotten that bibliographical tidbit, ...Ooh, I had forgotten that bibliographical tidbit, which I think prolonged its presence in my collection!Matthew Bradleyhttps://bradleyonfilm.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6672923492889685727.post-31534586216919141852015-02-15T09:46:18.419-08:002015-02-15T09:46:18.419-08:00Thanks Matthew. Redundancy is particularly a challenge when shelf space is not unlimited. :) One interesting note about Shock Waves - that was the first (and at the time, only) place to get the first three chapters of Matheson's COME FYGURES, COME SHADOWES until Gauntlet released it in 2003. The Berkley edition of SHRINKING MAN was one of my earliest Matheson acquisitions, and the only one that remains in my library today. I used to own a copy of SHOCK WAVES but—always concerned more with content than with collectability—I think I got rid of it as redundant when I obtained his COLLECTED STORIES.Matthew Bradleyhttps://bradleyonfilm.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.com
